
Amy D. Stringer is a Licensed Independent Social Worker and has been with Allied Behavioral Health, Inc. since January, 2007. She is currently working on her PhD in clinical psychology through Walden University. She earned her Masters degree in Social Work from The Ohio State University in 1997. Her Bachelors degree was in Family Relations and Human Development which was also obtained through The Ohio State University.
Ms. Stringer began her clinical work in 1994 while working with children and families. Her expertise in the area of working with children was further developed by her work in a diversion program for teens. At the request of the juvenile court, she developed a program specific to teen first time domestic violence offenders. She then broadened her clinical skills by working with adults and couples. Her generalist/strength based approach allows her to be responsive to a variety of clients while concentrating on their specific needs.
Ms. Stringer is currently treating children over the age of 12, adults, couples, families, and individuals. In addition, she offers group therapy as an adjunct to the treatment of mood disorders. She has experience in treating anxiety and mood disorders, relationship difficulties, adjustment disorders, personality disorders, chronic pain and illness as well as anger management issues.
