Larry Firestine, M.Ed., L.P.C. retired almost eleven years ago, after working 35 years for Vermilion High School. Following a short period of rest, relaxation, and re-energizing, he returned to counseling in private practice with Dr. Thomas F. Zeck, Psychologist, and Associates in Lorain, OH for the past eleven years.
For the past ten years, Larry has worked with the Lorain County Juvenile Court in conducting anger management groups for teens and their parents. He has spoken to numerous parent groups on a variety of school-related topics.
Besdies his vast experience with youth, Larry also counsels adult clients dealing with depression, anxiety, anger management, mid-life and retirement issues, couples counseling and parenting education.
Larry graduated from Wittenberg University in 1963 with a bachelor’s degree in math and obtained his master’s in Counseling at Kent State University in 1969. He has also done post-graduate work at Bowling Green State University and the University of Toledo.
Larry and his wife Diane, also a social worker with Allied Behavioral Health Services, have been married 43 years. They have three married children, six wonderful grandsons and two lovely grand-daughters.
