Diane Firestine is a social worker licensed by the state of Ohio. Her areas of strength include nearly thirty years of experience in parent education and family dynamics. Diane does marital counseling, women’s issues, adolescent counseling, and parent education and support.
As an independent speaker, Diane has spoken statewide to countless church, school, and community groups on various family issues. Diane was the creator and host of the program, “Parents in the know help kids Grow”, which she designed for the Lorain City School System and appeared daily on cable T.V., channel 6 in Lorain. In addition, Diane’s parenting series, “Building Bridges to Healthy Families” had been successful in motivating parents at both Meister Road School and Lowell Academy in Lorain to name a few.
Diane has previously been associated with the Parent-Infant Enrichment Program of the Center for Children and Youth Services, spending ten years there in a child abuse prevention program working with infants, young children and their mothers. For the past eighteen years, Diane has been associated with Thomas F. Zeck, Ph.D. which is now associated with Allied Behavioral Health Services, Incorporated, where she works with individuals and families and continues her passion for building healthier families.
Diane has been married 43 years and is the mother of 3 adult children and 8 grandchildren.
